  abstract = {We explore the possibilities for using high speed laptops, mathematics and biological knowledge to construct a new medical imaging device. The source of the electrical potentials measured in ECG recordings at the body surface is the electrical pulses generated by the myocardium (heart). Our goal is to use ECG data and a geometrical model of the human body to compute an image of the potential distribution inside the heart wall. Since many heart conditions lead to changes in the potential pattern, such a device could be very useful for the physician.},
